Following are the potential risks of obtaining and using the Bitrebe Token ($REB) and affiliated decentralized networks. This document is drafted to disseminate transparent understanding to all participants. You must carefully read the following points prior to participating in the Bitrebe token presale or ecosystem activity.
$REB is a governance token that confers limited privilege in the Bitrebe protocol. It imparts no ownership, economic interest, or equity interest in Bitrebe or its affiliates. Token holders should not reasonably expect profits or dividends from holding $REB. Participation in the protocol must be prompted by a desire to engage in decentralized governance only.
The Bitrebe protocol and governance structures are presented on an "as-is" basis. The team does not guarantee future development, improvement, or upgrades. The funds acquired from the sale of tokens may be utilized to fund operating costs and need not necessarily be applied towards funding technical improvements.
To receive $REB tokens, users must input a compatible wallet address (for example, EVM compatible non-custodial wallets). Exchange wallets or wallets not owned by a private key are not supported. Misuse or misconfiguration of wallet addresses is the sole responsibility of the buyer and may result in loss of tokens, which are irreversible.
Bitrebe relies on open-source and proprietary software that is susceptible to bugs, external threats, or vulnerabilities. Service disruption, token loss, or functional degradation in the governance system can be caused by exploits or protocol-level errors.
While $REB provides governance influence, proposals are examined, under quorum constraints, and consistent with community bylaws. Bitrebe can reject adoption proposals that have legal, operational, or security risk approved or not by token holders.
Each $REB token is an equal strength vote. Coordinated holders or concert parties acting together may have majority vote influence even in nominal vote caps. This will dilute decentralized decision-making.
Participation in governance of protocol may entail third-party platforms such as forums and voting platforms developed on blockchain. In the event of interruption or hacking of such services, involvement in governance will be impacted.
$REB tokens are non-transferable during the presale and initial stages. Buys should not be anticipated on the basis of liquidity, resale, or arbitrage profits. Transferability may become enabled later in protocol development and in accordance with the applicable regulation.
Since $REB will be built on the BSC blockchain (or whatever chain it will be backed by), any failure, fork, attack, or deterioration of underlying infrastructure would have adverse effects on token operation, security, and accessibility.
The protocol is vulnerable to malicious behavior such as double-spend attacks, Sybil attacks, denial-of-service attacks, or governance attacks. Users are advised to employ cautionary practices such as secure key storage and device protection.
Cryptography advances (e.g., quantum computing) can compromise the encryption standards securing $REB and the Bitrebe platform. Such technology advancements render existing security processes obsolete.
12. Regulation Risks
Digital assets remain increasingly under the radar of international regulatory bodies. Token use, resale, or utility will be impacted by future regulations, classification changes (e.g., as a security), or compliance obligations. Purchasers must understand that regulatory changes can include limitations or responsibilities post-sale.
13. Impact of Taxation/Risk
Tax consequences of owning, using, or acquiring $REB may vary across jurisdictions and be uncertain. Contributors are encouraged to consult professional taxation experts to examine their personal tax exposure before participating with the Bitrebe platform.
14. Quorum Risk of Participation
Governance proposals must have some quorum (e.g., 1% of all issued tokens) to pass. If there is not sufficient community interest, otherwise popular proposals could still fail to become eligible for implementation.
15. Fading Governance Interest
Long-term participation in decentralized governance cannot be guaranteed. In the long term, there can be reduced interest in $REB governance, which can affect protocol development and direction.
16. Token Dilution and Future Issuances
Bitrebe can issue new tokens or future governance instruments. This can alter existing governance structure or affect early participants' control.
17. Risks Stemming from Personnel and Organizational Dependencies
The ongoing success of the Bitrebe ecosystem is partially dependent on key staff and contributors. Losing key members can hinder progress, governance responsiveness, or strategic direction.
18. Unexpected and Emerging Risks
Because of the experimental state of blockchain governance and decentralized finance, unforeseen risks can materialize. They could be technical, operational, regulatory, or market-based uncertainties as yet unrecognized.
19. Legal or Privacy Obligation Risks
Bitrebe may be governed by privacy regulations or data regulations in various jurisdictions. In the event of non-compliance or data leakage, user credibility and protocol may be impacted.
20. Disclaimers on Governance Expectations
The users are not purchasing $REB with hopes of functionality, roadmap completion, or governance success. All in terms of feature rollout, updates, or changes is determined at the sole discretion of the Bitrebe core community or developers.
By participating in the Bitrebe ecosystem or buying $REB, you understand and assume these expressed risks. This document is not an exhaustive list, and prudence is suggested before any token action.
